EVER RÊVE NEWS & HARVEST WRAP UP

Winter has arrived, and the weather has really turned in South Gippsland.
Those bitter north-west fronts are flying through the region, the wind is howling, and the rains are here. Saying that, we look forward to this time of year; the weather is real, and pruning is just around the corner.

In terms of the harvest, the wines are all looking brilliant in the cellar right now.
Initially, our Dunns Creek vineyard Pinot Gris was the front runner for BOG (that was a surprise); however, as our Pinot Noirs develop further they’re starting to look incredible with deep colour, concentrated flavours and exciting line and energy.

Ever Reve Farm is as busy as always.
We’ve planted another 75 Blue Gums and 25 Mountain Ash trees in our wetland and shelter belt areas, with a further 2000 local species to go in the earth later in the year, we’re aiming for August.
Stay tuned as there’ll be a planting day, lunch and barrel tasting.

We’re very excited that site prep for Block 2 is complete. We’re planting Riesling, Pinot Gris and more Pinot Noir this time ‘round and now we need to make sure our posts all arrive on time, so we can start banging them in, strain the wires, and get ready to plant vines in early September.

There’s a lot to look forward to!
